About Refrendo

Refrendo gets documents signed, with a record of who did what, when, and to which version. When a document needs a sign-off first, the approval steps go in the same request. It is made in Australia and priced in Australian dollars.

What it does

You upload a PDF, place the fields and send it. The people you send to sign in their browser, on a phone or a computer, without an account. Some documents need a sign-off first, such as Finance before a supplier contract or a manager before an offer letter, and Refrendo puts those approvals in the same request, so they happen in order and are recorded with everything else. When the last person signs, everyone is emailed a link to download the final PDF and a completion certificate recording who approved and signed, when, and how each of them was identified.

Why it is priced per workspace

Most e-signature tools sell a licence per user, each with its own sending limit, so a team pays for every person who sends now and then. Refrendo charges one monthly price for the workspace instead. Everyone who sends shares its allowance, and the people who approve or sign never pay or need an account. Volunteer-run community groups can apply to use it free.

How we work

The name

Refrendo (reh-FREN-doh) is Spanish for a countersignature or endorsement: the signature added to a document to confirm it has been approved and is valid. It comes from the verb refrendar, to countersign, endorse or ratify. Refrendo is available in English and Spanish.

The company

Refrendo is operated by PAPACITO PTY LTD (ABN 44 669 345 500), an Australian company. It is in a closed beta: organisations join by invitation and use it free while the beta runs. You can check whether the app is up right now on the status page.
